We offer Sydney group Salsa Classes and Latin Dance Workout Classes, Salsa Socials, Private Tuition for individuals and small groups, Special Workshops, Team Building Classes and Shows for all occasions.

What to wear

Salsa classes: Wear comfortable clothes, soft soled shoes, dance shoes or small heels.
Latin Dance Workout: Wear comfortable clothes (dance or gym wear), jazz sneakers, jazz shoes, gym shoes or bare feet.

Class Descriptions

Salsa Classes - Important Information.

All our classes run on a 6 week Term basis. If you are a beginner or if you are transferring from a level it is highly recommended that you book in ahead of time and start at the beginning of a new term.

Our Salsa Style

The main style of Salsa we teach is Cuban Style. All our regular weekly Salsa Classes start with a warm-up which includes body movement, footwork and timing. We then progress to partner work. In the intermediate and advanced levels we teach partner work and Rueda.

Classes

• Salsa Beginners Discover the rhythm and energy of Salsa in a dynamic and fun class. This is the core of Salsa. These classes focus on understanding Latin rhythm and movement, basic footwork and partner work in couples and as individuals. For students with little or no previous experience
• Salsa Intermediate 1 For students who have done at least 6 beginners classes and who are confident with all the basic footwork and partner work. You will learn to become a more competent dancer. Learn to become better leaders or followers using Cross Body Lead and basic turns as a base and building sequences. You will also be introduced to Rueda (Cuban Salsa danced in a circle).
• Salsa Intermediate 2 You must have completed Salsa Beginners and Intermediate 1 or the equivalent before progressing to intermediate 2 and in some cases you may need 2 terms of intermediate 1. By this stage you should be very confident with your timing and guys - be good leaders, ladies - be good followers. You will learn different turn patterns and more Rueda moves. You should also be a confident social dancer by this stage or well on your way
• Salsa Advanced This is an invitation only class. It is designed for students progressing from intermediate 2 or the equivalent who are ready for something more challenging! You must be a confident Salsa dancer. Previous knowledge of Rueda up to intermediate level 2 is also required. You will learn more complicated footwork and partner work and more advanced Rueda moves. You will also learn to become smoother, more confident dancers with tips on things like spins, movement and styling.
• Latin Dance workout - all levels These classes are energetic, expressive and fun. A great alternative to the gym and an excellent way to expand on your Latin and Brazilian dance skills.You will also gain more confidence to dance as an individual. These classes include all Latin and Brazilian dance styles, steps and choreography. No partner required.
• Salsa Socials This is a perfect opportunity to practise your Salsa moves in a non competitive environment, with other students and friends. Held every Wednesday and Thursday night at La Cita (Latin Restaurant, bar and Nightclub) from 9.30pm. Enjoy the beautiful waterside location, sip on a cocktail, meet some new friends and become a more confident dancer

Would you like your wedding dance to look great? We specialise in teaching wedding couples Salsa. Salsa is fast becoming a popular alternative to the wedding waltz. Our instructors are experienced in preparing brides and grooms to be for their special day. We tailor your wedding dance to suit your choice of music and your style.

Private tuition is given in the comfort of your own home (we come to you) or in one of our dance studios located in the city or the eastern suburbs. The choice is yours.
