Kizomba is a sensuous rhythm often described as Angolan Tango. It was developed in Angola & is a fusion of Semba (the predecessor of samba) & Zouk music from the French Caribbean Islands. Kizomba is popular in Portugal & other Portuguese speaking countries. It has also now become widely popular in other parts of the world especially the UK & Europe.

FRENCH ZOUK

Zouk is a passionate and romantic rhythm originating from the French-Caribbean islands of Guadeloupe, Martinique and Haiti. An elegant and exciting partner dance, it is hugely popular in France, French -speaking Africa, Brazil, French Polynesia and now Australia! Zouk means "party" or "festival" in Creole.
